The pain of the loss of any loved one is hard, but its nearly unbearable when it happens well before one's time. Jilly was the picture of perfect health, all the way up until Friday, September 8, 2023 when she missed one meal. X rays, bloodwork, and even an ER ultrasound did not show the full story of why she fell ill, all the way up until it was too late. A single piece of decayed corn cob had devastated her digestive tract beyond repair. She was my (Emi) personal wire foundation bitch, and the perfect princess/pet. Thank you to her breeder, Shirley Del Castillo, for graciously sharing her with Judy and I. She will always be missed, but her legacy will continue through her daughters: Lilah and Daphne.

Max was the last dog specialed by Judy and won several Best in Specialty Shows and group placements. After Judy's passing, he lived out the remainder of his retirement with the Penuel family until 2023.

Vito was Emi's start in standard wires. Together, they won their first Best in Specialty Show, multiple Specialty Best of Varieties and multiple group placements.  He then moved to the East Coast to live with Fred and Carol Vogel, and continued his career with Fred. Vito happily lived out his retirement with them before passing in 2019.

Candy also finished her championship extremely quickly, with multiple specialty majors. She won back-to-back Best in Overall Sweepstakes at the prestigious Western Hound Classic. Candy is happily living out her retirement with Ed and Wendy Hirschmann!

Guy finished his championship extremely quickly, with multiple specialty majors. He was also BOS to BOV in sweepstakes, and 1st in the Bred-By Exhibitor class at the 2013 DCA National. He is now known as Henry and is happily living out his retirement with the Holzer family!

Sally was WB at both DCA 2010 Host shows, and was a Specialty Variety and group placer in limited showing. She also competed with Emi to their last Best Junior win at DCA in 2011, and is the mother of Mac, Guy and Candy. She is also now living out her retirement days after Judy's passing with the Lee family!
